Walking Between Worlds
My name derives from Scottish Gaelic and means 'bright black' or 'bright darkness' - which is also the translation of imbas forosnai - the poetic 'dark which enlightens' and brings inspiration to the bards.
I spent my childhood around animals - mostly horses - and still live amongst a menagerie of various creatures - horses, dogs, ferrets, chickens, geese, ducks, quail and rabbits, plus a cat who visits (I call her Boojum because she softly and silently vanishes away if she thinks I'm watching!) and the wildlife that surrounds my home, a smallholding in rural Aberdeenshire. I've always talked with animals, with trees and plants, and they've always listened and replied.
About My Course
I trained as a shaman with my good friend and mentor Elen Sentier nearly twenty years ago and have been a practicing shaman in the Old British Ways since then. I'm a drum maker, crafting custom drums for clients worldwide, a healer, an Usui Reiki Master/Teacher and a Rune Master. I enjoy spending my time outside in the countryside with the animals in my life - see my blog for more.
I bring all these skills and experience into the courses I teach here, alongside Elen Sentier
